For the 2006-2007 season, the Middlesex Basketball League continue to be operated on a Central Venue League (CVL) basis for all it's divisions. The CVL will take place at the Brunel University Sports Complex, Kingston Lane, Uxbridge, Middlesex UB8 3PH. Directions to the University can be found by following this link: Directions

The season will run from Sunday 8th October 2006 to Sunday 1st April 2007 inclusive. This time scale also includes the Play-Off Championships.

Teams will only play ONE game per week at the CVL, the league week beginning on a Sunday.

ALL matches would be played on either Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday.

Jump Ball times on Sundays would start at 11.30am, 1.15pm, 3.00pm and 4.45pm.

Jump Ball times on Tuesdays & Thursdays will be at 8.45pm.

Teams will be expected to arrive early, get changed and stretch and be ready for the scheduled jump ball time. Naturally, if there are any games which require overtime, the schedule would run slightly late.

The schedule will be designed so that in Week 1 for example, the Women's Division would play all their games on Court 1 on a Sunday, Men's Division 1 on Court 2 on a Sunday and the Men's Premier Division would use the midweek slots.

In Week 2, the slots would be rotated so that the Women play on Court 2 on a Sunday, Men's Division 1 would get the midweek slots and the Men's Premier Division would get the Court 1 slots on Sunday.

In Week 3, the slots would be rotated again so that the Women now have the midweek slots, Men's Division 1 get Court 1 and Men's Premier get Court 2.

Week 4 starts the cycle again but this time, you would play at a different time slot from before!

If we assume an entry level of 8 teams per division, Week 1 will start on Sunday 8th October 2006.

Week 11 will start on Sunday 7th January 2007.

The Play-Off Tournaments will be on 31st March/1st April 2007.

Easter is on Sunday 9th April 2007. Season over!

For divisions with 8 or less teams, each team will play each other 3 times during the season.

The Entry Fee to enter the CVL will be £ 1,750 per ADULT TEAM and will include the following:

- All traditional match day expenses (Court Fees, Referees Fees & Table Officials Fees)

- Referees and Table Officials will be appointed and paid for centrally by the MBL

Any team which does not pay it's fees on time may be subject to disciplinary action which may include deduction of league points, temporary suspension and subsequent forfeiture of games or explusion from the League.
