Level 2 Referees Course

The Middlesex Basketball League will be staging a Level 2 Referees Course for those participants in the sport who wish to learn how to officiate at competitive matches. In addition, this course is open to basketball referees who do not hold a current UK basketball officiating award and wish to join the UK officiating network.

What to bring: Whistle (Fox 40); Notepad and Pen; Suitable comfortable sportswear to play and referee in; grey t-shirt or referees shirt if you have one
What you will get:
  • An EB Resource Pack (inclusive of current official Rule Book)
  • Lunch at each session
  • Written Theory Examination at the end of Session 3
  • On successful completion, regular opportunities to referee matches locally and get paid officiating expenses of at least £20 per game
What it will cost you: £100* (For current MBL participants)
  £150* (For all other participants)
  * Once you have completed your practical assessments and passed the course, you may then apply to join the MBL Officiating Panel for the 2011-2012 season.
